Central Sterile OR Liaison Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Central Sterile OR Liaison to facilitate a close working relationship between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Anticipate and bridge the gap to ensure surgeon satisfaction, case completion, interdepartmental communication, and patient quality care and safety.
- Utilize problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges and improve processes.
- Collaborate with Sterile Processing and Operating Room teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of surgical procedures, medical supplies, and instrumentation necessary for these procedures.
- Experience with Instrument Management Tracking systems, preferably Microsystems (SPM), is highly desirable.
- Completion of an accredited sterile processing or surgical technology course.
- Three years collective experience in the Peri-Operative environment, including both Sterile Processing and the Operating Room.
- Current certification as a Sterile Processing Technician from one of the two certification boards (IAHCSMM or CSPD) within one year of hire.
- Three years case cart knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of OR routines, infection control principles, and regulatory practices.
