ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This role is essential in supporting our Front of House operations and contributes significantly to the daily services of our restaurant. During peak hours, the individual will engage in various tasks as directed by the Restaurant General Manager. Responsibilities will include hosting, expediting, and providing on-the-floor assistance, requiring self-motivation and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently. Key duties will encompass expediting orders, delivering meals, clearing tables, and attending to customer needs. A strong emphasis on hospitality and effective communication skills is crucial for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently expedite food orders as they arrive at the service window.
  • Perform final garnishing as needed, adhering to our presentation standards, and deliver meals to the appropriate tables and customers.
  • Assist serving staff by refreshing non-alcoholic beverages and attending to tables.
  • Package takeout orders and deliver them to guests, bartenders, servers, or hosts.
  • Ensure all items leaving the kitchen meet our plating criteria.
  • Maintain cleanliness in both the Front of House and expo areas.
  • Clear tables promptly to enhance the dining experience.
  • Return clean glassware to the bar and serving stations as required.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of plates and utensils is available.
  • Monitor the restaurant floor to maintain cleanliness conducive to effective gameplay.
  • Interact directly with customers, handling general inquiries as a representative of our brand.
  • Greet customers warmly and assess how to best meet their needs.
  • Oversee major customer entry points.
  • Utilize an iPad to manage our waiting list and educate customers on our system.
  • Seat customers when tables are ready and inform servers accordingly.
  • Monitor the restaurant floor, alerting staff to tables needing assistance and helping with clearing.
  • Follow up with customers if there are delays in service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid State Food Handlers permit required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the food service or customer service sector.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
  • Customer experience-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Capability to manage diverse personalities in a high-stress environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
