Bridgewell is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 3 to join our team in a residential program setting. As a key member of our support team, you will provide daily assistance and support to individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities, helping them to develop skills and foster independence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily support and assistance to individuals in all activities of daily living, including skills training and supervision.
- Create opportunities for individuals to make decisions and develop their skills, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Ensure that services are provided in accordance with regulatory standards, including DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, and CARF.
- Assist individuals with medical, clinical, and financial needs, as well as transportation and accompaniment to medical and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, adhering to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
- Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or DSP certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to write clear and articulate documents.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and minimum 1 year of driving experience.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications.
