We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Galaxy Vets. As a key member of our veterinary healthcare system, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various duties, including patient care, laboratory procedures, and radiology.
- Obtain vital signs and weights for patients, and assist with the collection and preparation of laboratory samples.
- Assist with prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures, and maintain the cleanliness of the hospital.
- Document patient information and vital signs accurately, and notify veterinarians or veterinary technicians of any unusual medical or behavioral problems.
- Communicate effectively with clients, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
