Job Description

The Sales and Relationship Development Specialist position is a key role within our collaborative and development-focused sales team. This team member will be responsible for selling educational tours to qualified Program Leaders, as well as inheriting and nurturing an established base of current clients. The ideal candidate will be expected to uphold consistent and competitive sales numbers primarily through reselling their business base, garnering referrals, and closing new leads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with Program Leaders upon selling or inheriting the account, responding promptly to inquiries or requests, and engaging personally to determine long and short-term needs.
  • Solicit new clients by prospecting past travelers, answering direct sales calls, and following up on new sales leads.
  • Meet or exceed all goal expectations regarding the expected number of sign-ups per sales season while maintaining the appropriate level of resold business.
  • Work closely with Product Management to assist in supporting all tour logistics and maintain consistent and effective communication between Product Management and Program Leaders.
  • Resell Program Leaders on future tours and inherit new clients that have been closed by Program Consultants.
  • Work effectively and in tandem with Program Associates and Financial Service Representatives as well as any other internal customer.
  • Educate self on all relevant tours and comprehend the student travel industry with interest to learn more regarding our competition.
