Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Gecko Hospitality. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Executive Kitchen Manager to manage inventory, preparation, presentation, safety, and sanitation in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Work with all Kitchen Management to maintain a culture of excellence and drive business results through culinary innovation and creativity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.
  • Participate in hiring decisions for hourly kitchen staff and identify talent for internal promotions.
Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume operation and creative environment.
  • Proven track record of success with a bias for action, high energy level, and desire to succeed.
  • Demonstrated judgment, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills with guests, staff, and peers.
  • Quality food preparation and presentation, guest loyalty, and positive feedback on social media and other measures.
