Job Title: New Patient Intake Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Intake team as a New Patient Intake Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scheduling potential patients who are seeking mental health treatment at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI).

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments for potential patients via phone and email.
  • Collect demographic and basic information to provide patients with an appointment that meets their needs.
  • Work effectively with patients, referral sources, insurance companies, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with strong consideration for candidates with a Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or closely related field.
  • One year of experience with intake screenings or customer service telephone etiquette.
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in use of email, internet, and phones.
  • Professionalism in presentation with patients and colleagues.
  • Problem-solving and customer service oriented.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and screening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and implement time management strategies.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
