Industrial Engineer Internship at Blue Origin

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Industrial Engineer Interns at Blue Origin. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our experienced engineers in support of our business units.

This 12-week internship will provide you with hands-on experience in various aspects of industrial engineering, including time studies, work sampling, facility layout, statistical analysis, cost/benefit analysis, manufacturing process design, and other areas within the field.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of industrial engineering projects
  • Conduct time studies and work sampling to analyze processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Design and implement facility layouts to optimize workflow and efficiency
  • Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in industrial engineering or a related field
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Available to work full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for space and a desire to contribute to the development of innovative solutions
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with facility layout planning, lean/six sigma projects, or time studies
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or academic project experience that demonstrates development of technical skills and leadership qualities
  • Hands-on project experience and co-curricular engagement
