Test Engineering Internship Opportunity

Blue Origin is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineering Intern to join our team for a 12-week internship. As a Test Engineering Intern, you will work directly with our experienced engineers in support of our business units, contributing to the design, analysis, and operation of test systems for testing fluid, propulsion, mechanical, avionics software, structures, GNC, and electronic systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, analyze, and operate test systems for testing fluid, propulsion, mechanical, avionics software, structures, GNC, and electronic systems.
  • Work directly with experienced engineers in support of our business units.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans, procedures, and reports.
Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
  • Available to work full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for space.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in a test environment.
  • Experience with Fluid Mechanics, thermodynamics, and/or propulsion systems.
  • Experience with component test, FEA, CFD.
  • Experience with MATLAB or Simulink.
  • Experience with programming languages including Python, C/C++.
