Internship Overview

Blue Origin is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team for a 12-week internship. As a member of our diverse and collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with experienced engineers in support of our business units.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and fabrication of mechanical, propulsion, structural, fluid, and avionics systems.
  • Work on projects that involve design for manufacturing, test, operations, and materials & processes.
  • Collaborate with our experienced engineers to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
  • Completed at least one year of full-time coursework post high school graduation at the time of application.
  • Available to work full time for a minimum of 12 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for space and a commitment to safety.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in a product design or manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
  • DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) knowledge.
  • Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills relevant to the internship as well as leadership qualities.
  • Hands-on project experience.
  • Co-curricular engagement.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $34.17 for on-site WA applicants, with other site ranges may differing.
