About the Role

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and building the electrical systems that will enable our spacecraft to safely and efficiently transport people and payloads to space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for spacecraft, including power distribution, communication, and navigation systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other spacecraft systems
  • Develop and implement testing and validation procedures to ensure electrical systems meet performance and safety requirements
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to procure and integrate electrical components and systems
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and standards for electrical systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on spacecraft systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, communication, and navigation systems
  • Experience with CAD-based electrical schematic and panel layout tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with application development in PLC environments
  • Knowledge of instrumentation theory and integration into data acquisition hardware
  • Experience with video monitoring systems and high-speed data acquisition
