Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced **Accounting Manager** to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial records and reports for various private equity funds and accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- **Financial Record Keeping**: Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed financial records for private equity funds and accounts, including cash, investments, and real property.
- **Reporting and Analysis**: Prepare and analyze financial reports for clients and the portfolio group, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- **Account Reconciliation**: Reconcile and analyze financial transactions, including purchase and sale transactions, and complex corporate actions.
- **Accruals and Distributions**: Estimate and post monthly closing accruals, and calculate income and expense allocations to each partner.
- **Financial Planning**: Assist in the preparation of financial plans and forecasts for private equity funds and accounts.
- **Collaboration**: Collaborate with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Requirements
- **Experience**: Minimum 5-7 years of relevant accounting or audit experience, with a mix of Big Four public accounting and investment management industry experience.
- **Knowledge**: Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis, as well as excellent understanding of accounting and investment company accounting rules.
- **Skills**: Solid analytical skills, ability to understand and resolve complex problems, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA certification a plus.
