About the Role:
As a Senior Associate in Fund Accounting, you will play a critical role in preparing and processing transactions and financial reports for hedge funds and private equity clients. You will exercise sound judgment in applying accounting principles to complex transactions and work closely with clients and internal teams to meet key deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review general ledgers, work papers, and financial statements
* Analyze and reconcile daily and monthly results
* Support year-end audit process in collaboration with the team, client, and auditors
* Interact with clients and counter-parties, including legal counsels, auditors, and tax advisors
* Develop and maintain knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive accounting concepts
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, or related field; CPA and/or MBA is a plus
* 2+ years' experience in Accounting, with a focus on alternative investments, Private Equity/Real Assets experience, or Hedge Funds
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to complete assigned tasks independently
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact with all levels of the organization
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills required
