Overview:

The Player 15 Group encompasses a variety of organizations and collaborative sectors that support the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and Footprint Center. We are dedicated to achieving excellence and creating lasting success while providing memorable experiences for our community.

We are in search of a proactive and enthusiastic Community Engagement Coordinator to support team members in the planning and implementation of community initiatives for the Suns and Mercury.

This role necessitates in-office participation and is designed to be a vital part of our operations, contributing to our community programming and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and execution of community initiatives and events for the Suns and Mercury.
  • Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of volunteer opportunities for team members.
  • Oversee ticket and memorabilia donations to local organizations.
  • Manage the sponsorship request process to ensure timely review and fulfillment.
  • Facilitate autograph sessions and maintain inventory of promotional items.
  • Respond to community inquiries for support and assistance.
  • Organize and maintain storage areas for community support materials.
  • Handle internal and external communications regarding community support.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in coordinating projects, programs, and events across various functions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing projects with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
Work Environment:

The characteristics of the work environment are representative of those that must be met by the Community Engagement Coordinator to effectively perform the essential functions of this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to navigate throughout the arena for extended periods.
  • This position primarily operates indoors, with minimal exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for both phone and in-person interactions.
