About this Opportunity:

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for spearheading market research and analysis in the wealth tech industry, crafting competitive product comparisons, and identifying industry developments to inform strategic decision-making within the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, the ability to execute high-priority initiatives, and a deep understanding of the wealth tech industry, including a background in research and competitive intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute competitive and market intelligence, including market analysis, positioning, and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set strategic priorities and monitor progress against key objectives
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Establish processes for collecting and synthesizing intelligence
  • Deliver comprehensive reports and executive briefings
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to identify potential threats and opportunities
  • Collaborate with finance, product, marketing, and other teams to ensure strategic initiatives are well-integrated and supported across Orion
  • Prepare and coordinate materials for executive meetings, board presentations, and other high-level engagements
  • Oversee special projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO and CFO
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, investors, and industry leaders to advance the company's strategic objectives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degrees are highly preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, competitive intelligence, or market research, or a related field, with a strong background in the WealthTech, fintech, or financial services industries
  • Superior financial analysis and modeling experience
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
