We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
- Provide training and education to employees on environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate and report on environmental, health, and safety incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and stay up-to-date on changing regulations.
- Provide leadership and support for the implementation and sustainability of the Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) process.
- Serve as the Emergency Response Coordinator for the facility, assisting with the coordination of emergency services and contractors.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or other program applicable to the health, safety, and environmental fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of various safety regulations or standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, etc.) and implementing EHS systems, providing training to comply with requirements and regulations.
- Experience implementing both proactive and preventative safety programs and procedures to reduce incidents and accidents.
- Experience assisting with environmental and safety incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions.
- Experience providing leadership and support for the implementation and sustainability of the BBS process.
- Experience serving as Emergency Response Coordinator for the facility, assisting with the coordination of emergency services and contractors.
- Professional certification in a relevant field.
