About the Role:

The Syracuse City School District is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Office Assistant I to join their team. As an Office Assistant I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks to support the day-to-day operations of the district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files
  • Operate office equipment, including photocopiers, scanners, and computers
  • Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Perform data entry and other clerical tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
  • One year of experience in business administration, office management, or customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office software
