Concessions Supervisor

Job Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is a key member of the Oak View Group team, responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations at our venue. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team of concession workers and ensure the smooth execution of events.

Responsibilities

• Manage the setup and operation of concessions locations, including verifying inventory, assigning duties, and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
• Provide oversight and operational expertise to ensure the efficient and profitable execution of events.
• Train and mentor new and current employees on property procedures and best practices.
• Assist with Premium Services operations and event needs as directed.
• Ensure a safe and respectful work environment, addressing any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
• Supervise the service of beverages, including alcoholic beverages, and ensure compliance with age verification requirements.
• Assist with recording guest orders and relaying them to the kitchen via the POS system.
• Compute the cost of meals and present guests with checks, accepting payments and providing change as necessary.
• Recommend dishes and identify ingredients or explain menu preparation methods.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Meet company standards for excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment.
• Ability to supervise the work of others and communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly and calculate basic math functions.
