We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with a background in acute care settings such as Emergency Rooms, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine to enhance our dedicated team serving the community. Our Advanced Practice Providers collaborate with DispatchHealth Medical Technicians (DHMTs) and are fully equipped to manage a wide range of medical conditions through thorough health evaluations, including diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care management for patients across all age groups. Our innovative approach allows us to deliver comprehensive care in the comfort of patients' homes, including point-of-care lab tests, minor medical procedures, wound management, and medication administration.

Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate as part of a clinical care team with a DHMT and independently, as needed, to provide care in patients' homes through our unique in-home service offerings. This role may involve traveling in a mobile unit to various service locations.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and manage complex medical conditions.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including splinting, suturing, wound care, and other minor interventions.
- Utilize critical thinking and adhere to evidence-based clinical practices.
- Document patient interactions accurately and comprehensively.
- Analyze diagnostic data to formulate treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and their families on managing acute health issues and promoting overall well-being.
- Navigate sensitive discussions regarding end-of-life care and patient goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers involved in patient care.
- Proactively identify and resolve challenges in patient care.
- Comply with clinical and safety protocols, performance metrics, and standards.
- Deliver care with empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.
- Foster positive relationships with DHMT partners and remote healthcare teams.
- Participate in training sessions and clinical meetings.
- Exhibit professionalism and serve as representatives of DispatchHealth.
- Lead with integrity and prioritize patient welfare.
- A minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in relevant settings such as Emergency Departments, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine. Candidates with alternative experience, such as paramedics or registered nurses in critical care, are also encouraged to apply.
- Possess an advanced degree from an accredited institution.
- Hold a current, unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Be nationally board certified and maintain current credentials.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
- Have prescriptive authority and a valid DEA registration.
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
