Job Overview

Impactful Role:

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants with a background in acute care, particularly in Emergency Rooms, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine. Our dedicated team serves the community through innovative healthcare delivery. Our Advanced Practice Providers collaborate with DispatchHealth Medical Technicians (DHMTs) to deliver comprehensive health assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and management of outcomes for patients across all age groups.

Our unique approach enables us to provide definitive care in the comfort of patients' homes, which includes point-of-care laboratory tests, minor procedures, wound care, and medication administration. We emphasize holistic care by ensuring timely follow-ups and coordinated care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a clinical care team, including a DHMT, to deliver in-home healthcare services, utilizing a mobile unit for patient visits.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments and manage complex medical conditions.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care.
  • Employ critical thinking and adhere to evidence-based practices.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and comprehensively.
  • Analyze diagnostic data to formulate treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate patients and their families on managing acute illnesses and overall health.
  • Navigate sensitive discussions regarding end-of-life care and treatment goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers involved in patient care.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Comply with clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics.
  • Deliver care with empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Foster positive relationships with DHMT partners and remote teams.
  • Participate in training sessions and clinical meetings.
  • Exhibit professionalism and serve as an ambassador for the organization.
  • Lead your practice with a patient-first mindset.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in relevant fields such as Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine.
  • Advanced degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • National board certification required.
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
