Position Overview

Location: Reno, Nevada


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized nephrology services for both inpatient and outpatient veterans, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and dialysis management.
  • Facilitate telehealth consultations, conduct inpatient evaluations, and participate in patient rounds.
  • Adhere to VHA kidney health protocols and standards.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.

Qualifications:
  • Possession of a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in nephrology.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • Completion of mandatory training as stipulated by the VA, including Privacy, HIPAA, and Military Sexual Trauma.
  • Eligibility for credentialing and privileging by the VHA.
  • Adherence to infection control protocols, including tuberculosis screening and annual influenza vaccination.
