As part of the Associate Laboratory Directorate for Weapons Production (ALDWP) and the Pit Technologies (PT) Division, you will find a vibrant and fulfilling work environment. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will serve as a vital technical resource, focusing on:
- Developing and enhancing manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges.
- Providing support for high-value manufacturing operations.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure adherence to engineering standards and safety protocols.
As a member of the R&D and Operations teams, you will:
- Contribute to the research, design, and validation of engineering solutions.
- Develop innovative methods and technologies to meet program objectives.
- Mentor junior staff and assist in their professional development.
- Present engineering findings and updates at project meetings.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 4 years of relevant experience in engineering disciplines such as mechanical, manufacturing, or machining.
- Intermediate knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Proven experience in complex engineering projects, including design and testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 6 years of relevant experience with a focus on R&D engineering.
- Experience in a nuclear facility or similar high-stakes environment.
