As part of the Associate Laboratory Directorate for Weapons Production (ALDWP) and the Pit Technologies (PT) Division, you will find a vibrant and fulfilling work environment. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will serve as a vital technical resource, focusing on:

  • Developing and enhancing manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving operational challenges.
  • Providing support for high-value manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure adherence to engineering standards and safety protocols.

As a member of the R&D and Operations teams, you will:

  • Contribute to the research, design, and validation of engineering solutions.
  • Develop innovative methods and technologies to meet program objectives.
  • Mentor junior staff and assist in their professional development.
  • Present engineering findings and updates at project meetings.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in engineering disciplines such as mechanical, manufacturing, or machining.
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in complex engineering projects, including design and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 6 years of relevant experience with a focus on R&D engineering.
  • Experience in a nuclear facility or similar high-stakes environment.
