- Collaborate with inspectors, quality engineers, and engineering teams to effectively address complex inspection engineering or measurement-related challenges.
- Develop robust inspection processes, encompassing the interpretation of engineering blueprints, sketches, specifications, and related data, as well as the specification of inspection equipment, characterization of process variables, and the consistent maintenance of process performance.
- Design, plan, and execute projects related to inspection, including coordinate measuring machines, laser interferometers, optical measurement techniques, and open setup techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
- Master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution and 6 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
- Extensive experience in designing, planning, and executing manufacturing projects.
- Familiarity with ASME quality assurance standards such as Y14.5 and NQA-1, as well as NAP 401.1 and DOE Order 414.D.
- Proficient in using software packages such as Quindos, Calypso, or PC-DMIS; PTC CREO; or SolidWorks.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
- Hands-on experience in calibrating measurement equipment - Measurement Assurance Program (MAP).
