Transformative Safety Leadership Opportunity

HITT Contracting, Inc. is seeking a visionary leader to drive innovation and excellence in our Health and Safety practices. As Vice President of Safety, you will leverage cutting-edge technologies, data analytics, and cross-industry insights to transform our safety culture and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a large team of safety professionals, developing emerging talent to ensure long-term success.
  • Establish robust H&S performance metrics and reporting mechanisms that drive operational excellence and value creation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of safety into the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations on H&S-related matters.
  • Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in H&S, spearheading the development and implementation of forward-thinking strategies.
  • Coordinate with HR and legal/risk teams to develop priorities and strategies for team member H&S and corporate risk.
  • Define and maintain minimum requirements for training and development of internal team members and trade partners.
  • Maintain relationships at the highest levels with clients, trade partners, and peers.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health & safety, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in H&S roles.
  • Deep expertise in H&S management systems, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and strategic acumen.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and active participation in H&S professional networks.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP or CHST are desirable.
