Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and clean environment for patients by maintaining the clinic area and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Assist with patient care activities, including vital signs, phlebotomy, and other procedures as needed.
- Support patients and families with navigation throughout the clinic and with appointments.
- Order and maintain clinic and lab supplies, ensuring proper disposal of waste and minimizing exposure to infectious processes.
- Verify patient identification and ensure accurate labeling of specimens.
- Complete lab charges and patient charges accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of related experience.
