Role Summary:
The Junior Program Manager for Accounts acts as the central liaison between clients and the production facilities. This role encompasses three primary objectives:
- Ensure the account shipment targets are met
- Oversee a successful customer performance initiative
- Manage the contractual agreements
The Program Manager is responsible for leading and executing essential actions and functions related to a key client, focusing on delivery, cost management, operational efficiency, effective communication, and strategic planning. This individual will develop, implement, and maintain organized data pertinent to all critical customer deadlines and business goals through our production systems. The role includes managing forecasts over a rolling 12-month period to fulfill customer requirements regarding delivery, product quality, and overall service. The position is crucial for fostering functional excellence to support business objectives and collaborating with all stakeholder teams to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve Account Shipment Targets
- Engage in daily production and weekly SIOP meetings to provide insights and guidance, identify risks, and lead problem-solving initiatives, including risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor customer backlog, including purchase order coverage and schedule adjustments, ensuring proactive management of demand signals.
- Maintain a balanced line to ensure actual part shipments align with planned targets.
- Collaborate with Production Control to alleviate production constraints.
- Work closely with Purchasing to ensure timely ordering of necessary components.
Oversee Customer Performance Initiatives
- Ensure all critical aspects of the client relationship are managed using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain the customer performance scorecard, aiming for optimal results, and conduct regular performance reviews.
Manage Contractual Agreements
- Review customer orders and forecasts, coordinating all responses, including acknowledgments, change requests, and issue resolutions.
- Oversee order entry and invoicing workflows.
- Understand the customer statement of work and contractual obligations, ensuring compliance and maintenance of all relevant information such as active part numbers, pricing effectiveness, and minimum order quantities.
Standards of Excellence:
- Engage in daily interactions with key stakeholders.
- Provide immediate notification to customers regarding deviations from the plan, including root cause analysis and recovery strategies.
- Prepare, follow up, and track all delivery dates on critical customer lists.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business or Engineering).
Experience:
- Five years of experience in production, program, or project management.
- Experience in production control, manufacturing engineering, or related fields within a machine or fabrication operating system.
- Familiarity with complex ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience in contract review.
Attributes:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid mathematical foundation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven track record of completing assignments on time. Must be highly organized and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, and adaptable to changing circumstances.
