Process Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Process Operator to join our team at Riken Elastomers. As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient production of thermoplastic compounds and polyvinyl chloride compounds in accordance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Comply with all environmental, health, and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Weigh and measure materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Load blenders with raw materials according to specifications.
- Operate or tend machines to mix or blend materials.
- Monitor raw materials from main material supply and ensure timely replenishment.
- Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Handle and package finished products.
- Routinely clean blending, mixing, and packaging equipment to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area (5S) to ensure efficient production.
- Initiate or suggest ideas and support continuous improvement efforts in all areas of the organization, including quality and environmental, health, and safety.
- Test samples of materials or products to ensure compliance with specifications, using test equipment.
- Load and unload trucks as needed to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Assist with maintenance-related activities to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain proper inventory levels to ensure efficient production.
- Complete all paperwork as required to ensure accurate records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the production process.
- High School Diploma or GED and 3-5 years of related work experience preferred.
- Compounding experience is a plus.
- Team-oriented with the ability to function independently.
- Mechanical ability and good math skills are essential.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills and ability to become forklift certified.
- Strong focus on follow-up and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
- Ability to travel as needed and work any schedule.

- Frequently required to lift and/or move approximately 55 pounds.

Work Environment: Plant and Office
- Exposure to changes in temperature, dust, fumes, and chemicals.
- Exposure to moderately loud noise while in the plant.
- Exposure to low noise levels while in the office.
