Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Core Technician to join our team at Jennie Stuart Health. As a key member of our Central Sterile Supply department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and sterilize medical equipment and supplies using appropriate methods and protocols.
  • Prepare and assemble instrument sets, trays, and other medical equipment for use in the operating room and other clinical areas.
  • Inspect and test sterilized items to ensure they meet established standards.
  • Adhere to strict aseptic technique and universal precautions at all times.
  • Collaborate with nursing units and other departments to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the Central Sterile Supply department.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) within one year of employment.
  • One year of experience in Central Sterile Supply, Sterile Processing, or Operating Room preferred but not required.
