Department Focus:

The Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) division is dedicated to ensuring that our products are Safe, Reliable, and Maintainable. Our multidisciplinary approach encompasses the entire product life cycle, from initial concept through to decommissioning, with a strong emphasis on product support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analyses of engineering hardware, including mechanical and electrical schematics, to identify fault tolerance, latent hazards, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with system testing and operational procedures to implement effective safety controls.
  • Engage with integrated product teams to identify and mitigate hazards effectively.
  • Work closely with Program Management and government authorities throughout the product lifecycle, from inception to disposal.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform System Safety Program analyses and design evaluations.
  • Oversee multiple safety programs, ensuring technical execution and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare Safety Assessment Reports and Program Briefs for client approval.
  • Present safety evaluations during technical reviews and safety approval processes.
  • Interpret system requirements and military standards to ensure compliance.
  • Generate comprehensive reports detailing analyses relevant to the System Safety program.
  • Collaborate across various disciplines to understand product architecture and design fully.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Systems or Safety Engineering. An advanced degree may substitute for some experience.
  • Proven experience in System Safety Engineering or related fields.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with command and control or weapon systems.
  • Familiarity with DoD System Safety Programs.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and proposal development.
  • Master's degree in a STEM field.
