We are seeking a highly motivated Senior System Safety Engineer to join our Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) team in Tewksbury, MA. As a key member of our System Safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products and systems throughout their entire lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Perform analysis of engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics to assess fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance.
- Work with system test and tactical operation and maintenance procedures to ensure proper administrative system safety controls are in place.
- Conduct System Safety Program or Design analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
- Monitor program technical execution and interface with stakeholders, including customers, program offices, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Prepare Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for customer approval.
- Brief safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process.
- Prepare internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering experience.
- System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, or equivalent Safety Engineering experience.
- S. government issued security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Experience with DoD System Safety Programs
