Job Title: Director of Housing Placement Services

The Doe Fund Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Housing Placement Services to join our team. This is a newly created position, and we are looking for a leader who can innovate and build a team.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. At least 4 years of work experience involving placement of individuals experiencing homelessness into permanent housing is required, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Experience working with populations such as the incarcerated, substance abuse, mental health, or supportive housing is a plus.

The Director of Housing Placement Services will report to the Vice President of Housing Placement Services and will be responsible for supervising 3 supervisors and 5 additional housing staff across our 3 transitional housing facilities. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, a commitment to The Doe Fund's mission, and proficiency in Microsoft-based programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of housing staff to ensure effective placement of clients into permanent housing.
  • Leverage existing relationships with real estate agents, brokers, and/or property owners to secure housing opportunities for clients.
  • Oversee the completion and submission of subsidy applications, including EOSD, CityFHEPS, SOTA, Section 8, and Supportive Housing applications.
  • Meet with clients to assist with housing placements and provide crisis intervention to address barriers to housing placement.
  • Stay up-to-date with policy and rule changes affecting affordable housing programs and Rent Stabilization, and incorporate new information into existing work via training and operational changes.
  • Organize and generate reports on program outcomes, engage in staff evaluation and performance improvement, and perform other duties as assigned.

The salary for this position is up to $97,850.
