ROLE SUMMARY:

The Charleston, West Virginia facility is in search of an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager. This role is pivotal in overseeing the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and programs. Key responsibilities include the development and execution of safety and environmental initiatives to ensure compliance with regulations, providing support and training across all levels of the organization, and managing accident reporting and workers' compensation reduction efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, direct, and execute safety and environmental programs to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant OSHA laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and enforce policies and procedures to foster a safe working environment.
  • Deliver regulatory guidance, technical support, and training to all personnel.
  • Manage internal and external resources in response to compliance issues, emergencies, and operational changes.
  • Conduct and coordinate safety and environmental audits to assess facility compliance.
  • Track audit recommendations to completion and assist in developing corrective actions.
  • Implement standardized programs and systems to monitor and document compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Integrate environmental, health, and safety considerations into the planning of plant projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Human Resources, or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety within a manufacturing environment, particularly in the automotive sector, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000, ISO/TS 16949, and ISO 14001 standards is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Advanced understanding of safety and environmental regulations and enforcement processes.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing (OEM or Tier 1) is essential.
