Job Summary

PACCAR is seeking a highly skilled Cost Accounting Supervisor to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing and analyzing inventory and inbound/outbound freight accounts, providing support and performing analysis work on dealer incentives, and preparing assigned monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and analyze inventory and inbound/outbound freight accounts, including monthly forecasting, month-end analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Provide support and perform analysis work on dealer incentives.
  • Prepare assigned monthly journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Supervise and develop one direct report, reviewing reports, journal entries, reconciliations, and ad-hoc reports prepared by the direct report.
  • Effectively interact with other departments on projects or issues that arise, including credit and returns, materials, volume sales, customer service, pricing, and the EZTrac group.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Perform and/or assist with assigned statistical inventories and Parts Distribution Center audits.
  • Understand the relationship of operational and financial systems and develop reports in SAP, Excel, Access, and SQL.
  • Perform SOX testing as assigned.
  • Support internal control reviews and external audit requests.
Requirements
  • BS/BA in Accounting or Finance.
  • Master's Degree or CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail with a big picture focus.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and self-motivated.
  • Understanding of US GAAP.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Requires strong PC skills with Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to travel periodically within the US and internationally.
