Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Emergency Department at Mission Regional Medical Center is a vital member of our healthcare team. As a CNA, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
  • Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, including vital sign measurements, wound care, and other tasks as assigned by the Registered Nurse.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment by ensuring patient rooms are clean and organized, and by reporting any safety concerns to the Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care and support.

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification upon hire and maintain current.
  • Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
