Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Loan Servicing Manager to join our Global Banking team at Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering syndicated loans, collaborating with external and internal partners, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise transactional processing, including Borrower advances, invoicing, payment collection & distribution, and reconciliations.
  • Engage directly with external customers to disseminate or explain information around positions, exceptions outstanding balances/claims.
  • Work closely with own team and internal stakeholders to meet client needs.
  • Minimize risk through understanding of policy and procedural requirements and serve as a checker for activities processed by other team members.
  • Deal with most loan-related discrepancies independently and have some latitude to resolve complex issues.
  • Contribute or assist as a data approver for weekly, monthly, and quarterly regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Apply judgment when interpreting data, summarizing conclusions, and presents findings to management.
  • Lead or participate in enhancements to existing and/or creation of new workflows, processes, procedures, and system functionality.
  • Leverage highly developed communication skills to engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Display ability to function as a team player while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Escalate proactively issues and take initiative to both resolve and drive change on process.
  • Provide guidance and/or on-the-job-training to new team members.
  • Collaborate with Global teams on initiatives supporting the loans market.
  • Participate in industry initiatives facilitated by the Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA) & Loan Market Association (LMA).
  • Handle escalations and interaction with senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required with Loan Servicing (Syndicated Loans) Experience of 10 years.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills, proven analytical skills, enhanced problem-solving ability, and a strong control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to gather stakeholder support for initiatives across the teams and see them through to execution.
  • High attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Ability to re-engineer processes to reduce manual touchpoints and mitigate risk.
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure within a team environment.
