Job Summary

The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Neurology, is seeking a highly qualified individual for a full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology position in the Neurology Neuromuscular Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for patients in the UHealth outpatient settings
  • Conduct EMGs at Uhealth, JMH, and develop the EMG service at Uhealth Tower
  • Train/mentor physicians and staff
  • Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences
  • Develop research program in Neuromuscular Disorder
  • Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards
Qualifications
  • Requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent)
  • Neuromuscular Fellowship is also required and board certification in Neurology is strongly recommended
  • Eligible for Florida Medical License
  • Strong clinical and research background in the areas of clinical or translational research in Neuromuscular Disorder
Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other employees
  • Good organizational skills
