The University of Miami Health System is presenting a remarkable opportunity for a full-time Assistant Professor in Clinical Neurology within the Pediatric Neurology Division.

  • The chosen candidate will deliver care across both inpatient and outpatient settings at affiliated hospitals and clinics.
  • The focus will be on assessing and managing developmental delays, learning disorders, seizures, migraines, movement disorders, and neuromuscular issues in pediatric patients.
  • This position will report directly to the Head of the Child Neurology Division and the Head of the Neurology Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage neurological disorders in children.
  • Conduct follow-up care for patients with childhood neurological conditions.
  • Engage actively in the Neurology Residency Training Program.
  • Provide educational guidance to students, residents, and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
  • Participate in resident and fellow events and gatherings.
  • Supervise house staff members in the Pediatric Residency Program.
  • Prepare and present educational content.
  • Contribute to research projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MD degree from an accredited institution or its international equivalent.
  • Eligibility for a valid medical license in Florida.
  • Board certification in Neurology.
  • Competence in EEG interpretation.
