Position Overview

The Events Manager serves as the vital communication link between management and union representatives regarding various events. This role involves collaborating with the Event Foreperson to establish work schedules for event maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Production Department, managing all aspects of events from initial planning through completion.
  • Facilitate communication among event-related staff and delegate tasks through the Event Crew Foreperson.
  • Ensure overall satisfaction for both customers and lessees.
  • Prepare and implement production requirements for events.
  • Collaborate with the Event Crew Foreperson to plan, direct, and schedule event crew activities.
  • Create detailed event sheets for timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maximize customer service while being mindful of labor and operational costs.
  • Coordinate individual shows and events in partnership with the Production Director.
  • Ensure event contractors are informed and scheduled appropriately.
  • Engage with all MetraPark departments to enhance service efficiency and logistics.
  • Develop metrics with the Production Director to evaluate team performance in hosting events.
  • Implement safety policies and emergency procedures.
  • Manage program planning, contracting, and event supervision.
  • Administer event contractors and develop procedures for operational safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and workshops as required.
Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience/Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facility or Event Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field; and
  • Two (2) years of experience in event production; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling six (6) years.
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License issued by the State of Montana.
