Position Overview:
The Events Manager serves as the vital communication link between management and union for event-related activities. This role involves collaborating with the Event Foreperson to establish work schedules for event maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
The Events Manager will oversee the Production Department, managing all facets of events from initial planning through to completion. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating communication among event staff and delegating tasks through the Event Crew Foreperson.
  • Ensuring overall satisfaction for both customers and lessees.
  • Preparing, recommending, and monitoring production requirements for various events.
  • Collaborating with the Event Crew Foreperson to plan, direct, and schedule event crew activities.
  • Creating detailed event sheets for timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maximizing customer service while being mindful of labor and operational costs.
  • Coordinating individual shows and events in partnership with the Production Director.
  • Ensuring that event contractors are informed and scheduled appropriately.
  • Engaging with all departments to enhance service efficiency and logistics.
  • Developing metrics to assist management in evaluating team performance during events.
  • Implementing safety policies and emergency procedures.
  • Administering event contractors and overseeing program planning and event supervision.
  • Attending meetings, conferences, and workshops as necessary.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Facility or Event Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field, along with two years of experience in event production. Alternatively, any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling six years will be considered.

Desired Skills:
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, possess strong analytical problem-solving skills, and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills.

Certifications:
A valid Driver's License issued by the State of Montana is required.
