Position Overview:
The Events Manager serves as the vital communication link between management and union representatives concerning event operations. This role involves collaborating with the Event Foreperson to establish work schedules for event maintenance personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
The Events Manager will oversee the Production Department, managing all facets of events from initial planning through to conclusion. Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating communication among event-related staff and delegating tasks through the Event Crew Foreperson.
- Ensuring customer and lessee satisfaction throughout the event process.
- Preparing, recommending, monitoring, and implementing production requirements for events.
- Collaborating with the Event Crew Foreperson to plan, direct, and schedule the activities of the event crew.
- Creating detailed event sheets for distribution to relevant stakeholders to facilitate effective event coordination.
- Maximizing customer service while being mindful of labor and operational costs.
- Coordinating individual shows and events in partnership with the Production Director.
- Ensuring event contractors are informed and scheduled appropriately, including stage workers, security, and audio/visual personnel.
- Interacting with all departments to enhance service efficiency and logistics.
- Developing metrics with the Production Director to evaluate team performance in hosting events.
- Implementing safety policies and emergency procedures.
- Managing program planning, contracting, and event supervision.
- Administering event contractors and developing debrief procedures.
- Attending meetings, conferences, and workshops as required.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Facility or Event Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field, along with two years of experience in event production. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of experience and training totaling six years will be considered.
Desired Skills:
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations, possess strong analytical problem-solving skills, and exhibit excellent human relations abilities.
Certifications:
A valid Driver's License issued by the State of Montana is required.
