Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide high-quality patient care in our 18-bed adult ICU. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience and be proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those requiring invasive hemodynamic and/or cardiac monitoring, intubation, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Administer medications, including vasoactive medications, and perform various medical and nursing research studies.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of ICU RN experience, with a preference for 2+ years of experience.
  • Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to practice as a RN in the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider Certification required, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
