Key Responsibilities:
The Steel Reinforcement Specialist will be responsible for bending, cutting, bundling, and loading reinforcing steel bars in line with customer orders. You will receive mentorship to ensure safe operation of all machinery.
- Unload trailers and organize materials in designated storage areas.
- Utilize a shearing machine or power saw to cut reinforcing steel bars to required lengths.
- Operate a bending machine to shape reinforcing steel bars as specified.
- Use an overhead crane to handle, assemble, and select materials for fabrication or shipment.
- Prepare and load orders onto trailers for distribution.
- Apply epoxy touch-up or reinforcing steel bars using a spray gun.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- This position is safety-sensitive; passing a drug test, including THC, is required.
Desired Skills:
- Ability to read and understand basic safety and operational instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting.
- Work conditions may involve exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold.
