Job Summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southwest is seeking a skilled Rebar Fabricator to join our team. As a Rebar Fabricator, you will be responsible for bending, cutting, bundling, and loading reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders.

About the Role

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and safe work area. You will work with a mentor to learn the skills necessary to safely operate machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have basic math skills and the ability to read and comprehend safety and operational instructions.

Responsibilities

•Unload trailers and store material in storage bins.
•Operate a shearing machine or power saw to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
•Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shape.
•Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
•Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
•Operate a spray gun in the application of epoxy touch-up or reinforcing steel bars.

Requirements

•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
•Must be age 18 or over.
•Due to the operating conditions of the position, this is a safety-sensitive position, therefore you must pass a drug test, including THC.
•Must be able to work overtime when required.
