Position Overview

Zachry Group is seeking a meticulous Project Scheduling Analyst with extensive expertise in project management to join our dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects for esteemed clients within the engineering sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost and scheduling functions on designated projects while adhering to organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project management to define the scope of work for essential Project Controls activities.
  • Thoroughly review and comprehend all pertinent project documentation necessary for schedule preparation.
  • Engage with project and discipline teams to develop comprehensive schedules.
  • Transform the scope of work documentation into a logically structured, resource-loaded project timeline.
  • Create realistic and achievable timelines utilizing logical frameworks, integrating engineering, procurement, and construction schedules with a focus on engineering and procurement elements.
  • Generate progress curves and workforce distribution charts.
  • Track project advancement against established schedules and compile progress reports.
  • Gather man-hour data and prepare Earned Value reports along with detailed analyses.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of all relevant reports to stakeholders.
  • Provide verbal and written guidance to project management and discipline teams regarding impacts, contingencies, and strategies for achieving timely project completion.
  • Deliver accurate resource forecasting data at both project and corporate levels.
  • Contribute to the budget forecasting process.
  • Maintain cost discipline to guarantee precise and timely management and forecasting of man-hour budgets, ensuring that all change requests are evaluated and reflected in the schedules.
  • Participate in project schedule and risk assessments as necessary.
  • Evaluate progress and its effects on the schedule, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma with prior experience in various functional areas.
  • A minimum of 5+ years in project controls, particularly within the Energy and Chemicals engineering sector.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing engineering schedules.
  • Facilitate project meetings and deliver presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex situations with appropriate management.
  • Proficient in project management software, specifically Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated success in leading project controls initiatives on assigned projects.
  • Understanding of fundamental project management principles.
  • General knowledge of Cost Management, Estimating, and Change Control.
  • High level of computer proficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with personnel at all levels.
  • Reliable in meeting deadlines, working independently, and maintaining accountability for work.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to communicate effectively in person, via telephone, email, video conferencing, and through various software platforms. The role may involve site visits to construction areas and industrial facilities, necessitating mobility and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment:

The position is primarily office-based but may require occasional travel to external work sites. Construction environments may present moderate to high noise levels and involve various equipment and personnel activities.
