Position Overview

The Financial Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in providing analytical and project support for designated business functions. This role involves regular monitoring of financial performance, variance analysis, and understanding key business drivers to ensure financial targets are met. The analyst proactively leverages analytics to uncover opportunities for enhancing profitability and acts as a collaborative partner in process development and improvement to boost operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in financial forecasting and budgeting for specific business functions.
  • Monitors and analyzes operating expense trends, including return on investment (ROI).
  • Evaluates and recommends operational efficiencies for various business functions.
  • Delivers reporting and analytical support tailored to business function requirements.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly Business Reviews.
  • Conducts analysis and supports cross-functional projects.
  • Provides support for ad hoc business initiatives as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel, database management, MS Office, Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while collaborating with remote teams.
  • Skilled in data analysis and reporting tools to create insightful reports and solve problems.
