Role Summary:
The Senior Analyst of Strategic Financial Planning will play a pivotal role in shaping Aldi's strategic objectives on both domestic and international fronts. As a seasoned finance expert with a curious mindset and robust analytical capabilities, your strategic foresight and flexibility will be instrumental in conducting thorough evaluations of capital investments and long-term business performance, with an emphasis on fostering growth, enhancing profitability, and maximizing investment returns.

Position Type: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Work Program available, allowing for remote work up to 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership visibility by effectively communicating issues, progress, and outcomes of assigned tasks to management in a timely manner.
• Evaluate current procedures and propose enhancements and best practices.
• Advise on improvements to boost team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Notify management of recurring challenges or the need for additional team training.
• Conduct analyses that aid in the formulation and execution of long-term business strategies, investment plans, and financial models that align with Aldi's strategic goals, delivering precise and timely insights to project leaders and senior management to influence decision-making.
• Independently create, lead, and document financial models and plans for large-scale strategic initiatives, ensuring they are comprehensive, innovative, and aligned with Aldi's growth and profitability objectives.
• Execute detailed financial modeling and sensitivity analyses, including long-term business plans, investment evaluations, cost-benefit analyses, and other financial frameworks, utilizing market and industry research, data analysis, and sound judgment to develop and validate assumptions.
• Assist leadership in conceptualizing advanced financial planning and analysis tools and processes, providing valuable quantitative and qualitative insights focused on growth, profitability, and optimizing returns on investment to enhance decision-making.
• Manage multiple projects with urgency and prioritize effectively to ensure timely completion of deliverables and adherence to critical deadlines.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of data and reporting requirements.
• Support leadership in ensuring compliance with established operational policies and procedures.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and maintained for future audits or information requests.
• Assist leadership with project management responsibilities and communicate project statuses to all stakeholders.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in strategic financial planning, offering guidance and mentorship to team members, suggesting improvements, and promoting professional development.
• Collaborate with team members and relay pertinent information to leadership.
• Uphold the confidentiality and security of documents and data within your area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies:

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA, CFA, MBA, or a Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
• Experience with financial software and tools is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
• Work may be performed in an office or remote setting, utilizing a computer and office equipment as necessary.
• Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move between areas.
• Occasionally required to lift and move up to 25 lbs.

Travel:
• Domestic and international travel may be required, up to 10%.
