About This Role

This position will work with cutting-edge technologies, encompassing hardware and software, to design, develop, configure, and document existing and new technologies and environments.

Responsibilities include working with the Systems Engineering Manager to create documentation for the deployment and maintenance of new technologies and systems throughout the company's infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will analyze systems requirements to ensure security and effective integration with current applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a cutting-edge SaaS datacenter environment
  • Collaborate with the Systems Engineering Manager on new projects arising from business needs
  • Create documentation for the deployment and maintenance of new technologies and systems
  • Analyze systems requirements to ensure security and effective integration
  • Develop and maintain an open communication relationship with the Systems Engineering Manager
  • Work with other teams to ensure successful transitions and knowledge transfer of new technologies
  • Evaluate and communicate areas requiring new or improved technology solutions
  • Bring problems impacting the company's infrastructure to the attention of the respective parties
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with team members and other departments
  • Perform other duties and projects assigned by Management
Requirements
  • Ability to support a VMware vSphere environment
  • Good understanding of Windows and Linux server concepts and thorough understanding of their implementation
  • Network monitoring experience using PRTG or similar tools
  • Basic knowledge of SAN and fiber channel fabric
  • Ability to design solutions with the overall product direction in mind
  • Able to plan and initiate a multi-sprint project
  • Clear communicator across departments
  • Demonstrated skills in working tactfully with people to resolve technical problems
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills
  • 4+ years' experience
  • Scripting and automation experience
  • Windows and Linux server administration experience
  • Extensive experience with Certificate Management, Patch Management, BCDR, and ITAM
  • Strong knowledge of backup strategy and methodology
