Our organization, a leader in mechanical and industrial construction, is based in West Georgia and has been serving the Southeastern United States since 1984. We specialize in comprehensive HVAC systems, plumbing, process piping, sheet metal, and equipment installations. With a management team boasting over a century of combined industry experience, we handle projects for both private clients and government entities. While we primarily focus on negotiated and design/build contracts, we also engage in competitive bidding.

We are looking to enhance our Estimating Team by adding a dedicated HVAC/Mechanical Estimator. The Estimating Team plays a vital role in sustaining a robust pipeline of projects for our Construction division. Utilizing advanced takeoff software, the Estimator will prepare bids for prospective projects and present them to clients. Building and nurturing client relationships is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing accurate estimates and proposals for construction and service projects
  • Engaging in business development efforts
  • Managing client relationships and hosting client meetings
  • Formulating strategies to secure project bids
  • Requesting quotes and following up as necessary
  • Assessing margins for bids
  • Conducting price negotiations
  • Performing job site visits as required
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications and local regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC or mechanical estimating
  • Proficiency in onscreen takeoff software, such as Auto Bid Mechanical or Auto Bid Sheetmetal
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
