Process and Control Automation Specialist

Southwire Company, LLC is a leading manufacturer of wire and cable products, seeking a highly skilled Process and Control Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation and control systems for industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation and control systems for industrial equipment
- Develop and maintain SCADA and operator interface applications
- Design and program logic for PLCs, drive systems, and combustion control systems
- Develop databases and write custom computer programs for PLC and SCADA system interface
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, diagnose and resolve issues
- Develop project manuals and electrical schematics using CAD
- Develop scope of work, cost estimates, and budgets for electrical systems
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of SCR systems
- Assist with on-site commissioning of all parts of an SCR system
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry
- Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC and drive experience
- CAD experience with AutoCAD
- SCADA system and HMI application experience
- Computer programming, networking, database, and reporting skills
- Ability to develop and maintain in-depth, up-to-date technical knowledge
- Ability to travel internationally (35%)
- Excellent communication, organization, presentation, interpersonal, and project management skills
