Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Ledgent Finance & Accounting. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement financial models to support business decisions.
  • Accounting and Compliance:
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
    • Comply with all relevant accounting standards, including GAAP and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting:
    • Assist in the development of financial plans and budgets.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast.
    • Identify areas for cost savings and implement process improvements.
  • Financial Systems and Technology:
    • Implement and maintain financial systems and software, including accounting and financial reporting tools.
    • Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support business decisions.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial systems.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial information is accurate and timely.
    • Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including management and external partners.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or related role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
